3 random side notes...

Last weekend Tay and I went to his work party and the theme was to dress up like people in the 20's.

Well I LOVE to dress up so Tay and I did the best with what we had to dress up...

I apparently missed the memo that people in the 20's dress like sluts. 

I was like...

and all the other girls were like...

I felt like a polygamous that stepped into a strip bar. 

After feeling awkward for the first 10min. we got into the party and had a descent time with our friends, although we didn't stay long..we took our own party back to our place..

which consisted of a movie and kettle corn:)

I love dinner at my Dad's. 

He always bakes wholesome food that is healthy and very delicious. 

This yummy ceaser salad he made his own dressing and his own croutons..

seriously the BEST ceaser salad I have EVER had.

 Even his desserts are made with whole wheat flour. 

He cracks me up how he refuses to put white flour in anything. 

And to my surprise this apple pie tasted very yummy, and I am not a pie gal.

 And my favorite treat..whole wheat bread...

I love whole wheat bread with all my heart.

The way the smell of fresh baked whole wheat bread makes our whole home smell like HOME!
The way the hot steam rises when you cut the first slice.

The way the butter and honey melt so finely in my mouth!

Oh gosh..I am going to make bread right now!

 oh before I go to make bread..I think this commercial is funny, it may be immature to many viewers..and I am not advertising M&M's on my blog because I don't even like them but I just find myself laughing every time I watch it.

Well that's Nice

Tay and I have been looking for a new bed spread.

We are very particular with our taste. We both agree we LOVE this whole look.

Although I would add a little color..like yellow:) 

COLOR is an amazing thing and I don't want our bedroom to look stark. 

It is not a Pintrest post with out babies.

 I like to see all the creative ways people come up with for baby pictures:)

Weddings: I love them and miss them! I really thought I was going to be a wedding planner one day..

but then something better happened..Tay:)

Mace spray gun- I had a dream I had this and then I saw it on pintrest. Someone is raiding my dreams!!

Really though..I want one. 

I love tramps! Especially ground level ones. Brings back so many fun memories in my childhood. 

Sleep overs were the best on the trampoline. 

I wonder if the ground level ones are safer then the high trampolines...I do remember a lot of my friends/family members breaking something or just getting hurt badly. 

Either way Tay and I will own one once we have a home. Maybe we will have a netted one so less people are prone to injury. 

Ha. I highly enjoy this picture. The facial expressions are just great.

I love singing..I sing all the time. In the store, shower, car, work.

I may not be good but that doesn't stop me from going gun hoe when I sing. (just ask my main man he knows this)

Anyhow Tay and I went on a date last night and we saw this show..Moneyball.

These two guys made this movie. They are both such GREAT actors and I enjoyed seeing them in a movie together. 

The only part I didn't enjoy was when Brad said the F word and that

made me mad..I HATE that word with a passion. Grossest word EVER! 

 But then this cute scene made my heart melt.

This young girl has such a sweet, beautiful voice..I could listen to it over and over again. enjoy:)

Bringing Down the Roof

Tay and I never eat out. Mostly because we are on a budget but usually we prefer to

cook our own meals. Well this particular night after school we decided to head

to Little Ceasers because we had a free pizza coupon. We started heading there and remember we forgot the coupon. We went back home to grab it and then headed back to Little Ceasers to get the pizza (which I was dying to eat..I was so hungry..nothing new). It is pitch dark outside and so we could see perfectly inside of Little Ceasers as we parked right in front and got a very clear shot of two men with guns, dressed in black clothing, with their faces hidden by black masks- robbing these three woman that were inside. Tay said well looks like we are not getting our pizza..Tay quickly called 911 and reported what was going on in front of us. We hurried and backed the car up so the guys wouldn't notice us and we saw them run off. I told Tay to follow them but obviously that would be a dumb idea to follow guys with guns and we have nothing to defend ourselves. I really wanted to go attack them! I was so mad they got away right in front of my brown eyes. I am so glad Tay was with me so I wouldn't do anything dumb..like draw attention to myself by honking the horn while they were inside..thinking that would stop them. 

After 4 quick minutes after we called the cops they came and had us fill out a witness report (which thank goodness that is all we were..if we would have gotten there a few minutes earlier we would have been inside with them!) The girls inside never got hurt..so that is good. 

Oh and I am sure you are all worried if we got our pizza or not..well yes we did, we actually ended up going to another Little Ceasers downtown and they were robbed last week. Apparently these two guys have a thing for robbing a bunch of Little Ceasers..and they only get like 50 to 63 $ every time. Doesn't seem worth it..bunch of crazies. 

Unfortunately we are no heroes but we sure know how to dial 911. 

A little bit of wow here and there

wow I don't normal think I am awesome but I am feeling pretty awesome.

I didn't know what to make for dinner and I decided to make this yummy thing: that I half put together in my head and half spun off of another recipe that I have made before..

so easy I just did the following;

cook spiral noodles in boiling hot water with a tad of salt

cook meat with seasoning (I used beef, I think sausage would also taste deluxe)

then drain noodles when cooked..add noodles and meat

in a 9x13 pan and stir with 1 jar of spaghetti sauce

I topped it off with cheese and red pepper to give it a nice kick.

preheat oven to 350 and bake for 25min

serve with Caesar salad (thanks to my friend Kelsey I am now addicted to Caesar salads!)

okay I just love babies! I really want to just munch on a baby right now.

A Cup of Random

I'm sure many of you have already heard this..but I like to think I could scare the devil.

I'm not a mom but I think this is funny.

So true, I worry too much..and it really does absolutely NOTHING..I worry about other people

that I don't even know..I have learned that instead of worrying do something about it..instead of feeling bad that people are in the situation there in do something to help them, it is more productive:)

Good thing I have my husband who doesn't worry about random things like I do..he keeps me balanced:)

I would love to be in Greece with my lover man.

I think I am just tired of HW and I thought this was probably a lot funnier then it is.

why yes I would love to swing on this in the jungle.

So TRUE..I am pro at laughing when I realize that I probably shouldn't.

this is just a bundle of preciousness

I would love to wear dresses ALL THE TIME. I love dresses.

(It would even be better if I could be sipping from a tea cup to add to the properness..that is not a word..I just like to add "ness" on the end of some words).

AWKWARD STORY OF THE DAY~

Today I took Trax home from school...I am sure we have all witnessed weirdos on Trax.

Well I am just so anxious to get home and I sit down and then I see this blonde surfer guy come towards me and plop down right beside me and he said, "hey my name is..(I already forgot his name..) and I am from Hawaii"...then he pulled out his guitar and started singing to me...

..........

awkward silence in my head...

okay what the??

He was staring at me singing..."oh baby how I love your eyes"..yadayada.."you look

so fine in them jeans"..yadayada..

Baby?...really no one calls me baby but my man.

I felt so embarraessed, everyone around was just staring at the random Hawaiian dude and me. I wanted to just say please stop..but I thought that would be really rude..so I waited for him to

finish his song and then I said.."wow..you are really good at playing the guitar, SO IS MY HUSBAND!"

I could tell he felt so dumb..but that is what ya get when you go up to a random girl thinking you can sweep her off her feet..not too mention on TRAX....weird.

I got off on the next stop.

home sweet home~

We have really loved living here! the pictures don't quite do it justice~ but Tay and I have really enjoyed living downtown and having such cute condo.

our bedroom is not all the way done so

I didn't post that and I probably never will, so if you want to see it you will have to come visit us:)

Life as I know it in Illinois~

This is where we live 88 West.. Tay and I have never lived in appartments before so it is diffentely different. We really thought we lived in a nice place but everyone else thinks we live in the geto...I didn't get why at first but now I do. There have been a few shootings here and also at the mall which is right behind our appartments. Our friends had blood stains right in front of their appartment because some guys jumped a poor pizza man and beat the crap out him...?? why would you beat up a pizza man!? weird. I really don't feel threatened though I pretty much just keep to myself and try not to stare at anyone, I think that I will be perfectly fine.

Really my only complaint is that our appartment reeks of cat pee! EWW hate that smell! I have tried febreeze, candles and perfume and NOTHING is working..so if you have any suggestions..please share! Unfortionatly it might just be a smell that is so potent and won't ever go away but cat pee smell or no cat pee smell I am just grateful I have a place to live:)

WEATHER CRAZY~

My friend Kelsey and I decided to find out what our husbands are going through everyday so we took a day off of working out, cooking, cleaning, and all the other things we find to do everyday to go to work with our hubbies. In the evening Kels and I were getting ready to go back home we were all sitting in the car when all the sudden the tornado sierns went off. All of us looked at each other and just freaked (beside Tay..he is not very dramatic..which is good..blances our marriage out since I am). It had been storming all day but I totally forgot I am not in Utah..and Illlinois is completely flat land. The clouds looked black and I could tell a tornado could be coming any second. Ryan (Kelsey's hubby) started driving way fast to someone's house to take shelter, once we arrived at the kind families house we just waited for the T.V. to come back on so we could see what was going on. After a while awaiting we found out that the tornado was on the ground right where our appartments our- my heart sunk because that is where my friend Makall and her little girl were (luckly we got a hold of her and told her to take cover with her baby in the tub with a mattress over them..I guess that is one of the ways to protect yourself in a tornado). After a little bit of time went on I took a minute to think and I just felt that I would not die in a tornado (just seemed a little dramtic to happen right now in my life) Well the TV kept going on and off but after a little more time we had discovered that the tornado had jumped over the town we were in at that time and had missed us! WHOAH! yeah for living! We then made a quick move to home that was still standing and we just felt so blessed that our friends were safe and we were!

I know Missouri got hit bad with tornados, it makes me feel so sad for all the families that were affected by the horriable event. Tornados are scary becasue really there is not a whole lot you can do!
