The awesome # 21~

Our night out on the town in Chicago! Tay took me there for a weekend since he was going to be in Utah for my B-day (It was his BF's wedding). We had such an AMAZING TIME TOGETHER! I loved the city, in fact I like it way better then New York city...seemed cleaner and not as hectic. I loved spending time with my sweet husband as we toured around the fabulous Chicago city!:)

Tay also surprised me with the great news on my Birthday that we are going to pick out a bike for me so we can go on bike rides together! I also got to pick out a new dress and I got a new phone~ which is so awesome..I have never had a touch phone so now I feel pretty legit.

Our first night there we ate at this cute little village Italian food place.

Tay and I had a marriage therapy session with Mr. Stone he let us do all the talking:)

We got to ride the Ferris wh

eel! ahhh I loved it...it reminds me of the first movie I cried in..Charly..haha oh Ferris wheels are just so fun to me!

The Pier was the funniest place we went..I really enjoyed being so close to the water.

PART 2 OF CHICAGO WITH KELS~

To start the day we went to the BEAUTIFUL Chicago temple. We really enjoyed going...It is always good get away from the busy world and feel at peace:)
Afterwards we headed to the CHICAGO CITY~ we had such a fabulous time. We really milked the Birthday thing and in results I got ~
a FREE boat ride tour, a Churro (I have never tried one..and I must say I did enjoy it~ kels told me to not worry about what I eat today..so I gladly didn't). I also got free ice cream and a smoothie drink! yay for turning 21!

After we got back from Chicago Kels and Makall were so cute to make me one of my favorite meals for my Birthday dinner! Then to top off their sweetness they went overboard ~ Makall gave me a beautiful necklace from this awesome shopping store that

is NOT in Utah...Limited. Kels gave me the Jane Erye book that I have been longing to read, and some cute nail polish. And their thoughtful husbands picked out some pretty roses to give me. Makall and Kels were so cute to decorate and make my B-day evening special......THANKS GIRLS!

wow! I had a wonderful Birthday...also special thanks to my favorite aunt Patty for always making me feel loved and special every year on the day of my birth!

~Father's Day Joy~

Delightful Roast~

I got this meal idea from my friend, Kelsey~ she was kind enough to share the recipe with us:)

Ingredients:

Roast (I use a different size everytime, it just depends on how many people you are serving for)

1 bag carrots

1 bag of red patatos (chopped in half)

2 cans of mushroom soup

2 packages of onion soup mix

In a 9 x 13 dish, sprinkle a little bit of onion soup mix and then set the thawed roast in the middle, then place the patatos and carrots in around the roast. Pour mushroom soup and 1 cup of water over all of it and the rest of the onion soup mix.

Cover tightly with tin foil

Bake @ 350 for 4 hrs.

SSSSOOOo easy and so delish!

Serve with rolls and salad (or what ever your heart desires).

Livin it and Lovin it~

Behold...My project~

Our friends introduced us to this awesome game called "Aggravation" They bought it from some lovely Amish people for $45 dollars (online they are $50). I was truly obsessed with playing the game everyday. I didn't want to fork out $50 bucks so I took matters into my own hands and built one for myself.....it really was harder then I thought it would be and I am not as skilled as those Amish people but by the time I got done I only paid $18 dollars for the whole project!

Our late nights~

Tay gets home late and so at night we enjoy soaking up every minute together! I just can't get enough of him..thank goodness I have him for eternity!

Enjoying yummy sticky fingers (Winger's recipe..click here to get the fabulous recipe..taste JUST like Winger's but even BETTER and SOO easy to make!)

I was really excited about this recipe as you can tell..

Pool time with Makall and the most happy little girl, Hailey!:) (she is really making Tay and I baby hungry)

and..that is all for now..

I will try to be better at taking pictures. I have just been so BUSY with NOT having a job or going to school. Sometimes when Tay gets home I just have to complain how hard it is to lay out by the pool.

Although in the mist of my busy life, I have learned how to cook some AWESOME meals to keep my man happy:) .....maybe., just maybe I will post some of the recipes!

Fresh Start~

This is how I have been starting my day off lately and I hope to make it a habbit.

Tay and I take time to read an article out of the Ensign every morning (we just started doing this recently). I really feel that my out look on my day has changed.

The Ensign is full of uplifting stories, thoughts, and truths.

What better way to start the day by filling your mind with uplifting thoughts!

I don't care what religion you are or what you believe I think it is important to fill your mind with uplifting thoughts especially in the morning because your thoughts affect your mood and if you have uplifting thoughts then when bad things happen in your day...well they don't seem so bad:)

I am so humbled everytime I read the Ensign especailly with my husband!

I love good habbits and hopefully we can keep this habbit because I sure think it is a great way to start our day!

Life as I know it in Illinois~

This is where we live 88 West.. Tay and I have never lived in appartments before so it is diffentely different. We really thought we lived in a nice place but everyone else thinks we live in the geto...I didn't get why at first but now I do. There have been a few shootings here and also at the mall which is right behind our appartments. Our friends had blood stains right in front of their appartment because some guys jumped a poor pizza man and beat the crap out him...?? why would you beat up a pizza man!? weird. I really don't feel threatened though I pretty much just keep to myself and try not to stare at anyone, I think that I will be perfectly fine.

Really my only complaint is that our appartment reeks of cat pee! EWW hate that smell! I have tried febreeze, candles and perfume and NOTHING is working..so if you have any suggestions..please share! Unfortionatly it might just be a smell that is so potent and won't ever go away but cat pee smell or no cat pee smell I am just grateful I have a place to live:)

WEATHER CRAZY~

My friend Kelsey and I decided to find out what our husbands are going through everyday so we took a day off of working out, cooking, cleaning, and all the other things we find to do everyday to go to work with our hubbies. In the evening Kels and I were getting ready to go back home we were all sitting in the car when all the sudden the tornado sierns went off. All of us looked at each other and just freaked (beside Tay..he is not very dramatic..which is good..blances our marriage out since I am). It had been storming all day but I totally forgot I am not in Utah..and Illlinois is completely flat land. The clouds looked black and I could tell a tornado could be coming any second. Ryan (Kelsey's hubby) started driving way fast to someone's house to take shelter, once we arrived at the kind families house we just waited for the T.V. to come back on so we could see what was going on. After a while awaiting we found out that the tornado was on the ground right where our appartments our- my heart sunk because that is where my friend Makall and her little girl were (luckly we got a hold of her and told her to take cover with her baby in the tub with a mattress over them..I guess that is one of the ways to protect yourself in a tornado). After a little bit of time went on I took a minute to think and I just felt that I would not die in a tornado (just seemed a little dramtic to happen right now in my life) Well the TV kept going on and off but after a little more time we had discovered that the tornado had jumped over the town we were in at that time and had missed us! WHOAH! yeah for living! We then made a quick move to home that was still standing and we just felt so blessed that our friends were safe and we were!

I know Missouri got hit bad with tornados, it makes me feel so sad for all the families that were affected by the horriable event. Tornados are scary becasue really there is not a whole lot you can do!
